Houston Glowzone is the First Installation for the Balaxi Group
Intercard has completed an installation for the Balaxi Group of Companies at its first Glowzone Family Challenge Center in Houston, Texas. It is the first of four franchised Glowzone FCCs that Balaxi will open in the U.S. in 2018, and all will be equipped with Intercard systems.
The growing chain of Glowzone Family Challenge Centers offer “challenge arenas” where families can participate in glow-lighted versions of such popular attractions as laser tag, mini golf, rock climbing and ninja course plus themed party rooms for videogaming, bazooka ball and more.
Balaxi’s Houston Glowzone has an arcade with more than 40 games, and the Intercard system controls every aspect of management including card sales, redemption and service. The system has 65 card readers and is fully integrated with the center’s CenterEdge POS system.
Shah Rudraraju, one of the owners of Balaxi Group, has a master’s degree in computer science and was very impressed with Intercard’s engineering expertise and customer service. “Scott Sherrod and his team did a great job and their chief technology officer, Scott Bollinger, too. We’re doing good,” says Rudraraju.
“Mr. Rudraraju chose Intercard because he truly believed that we cared about him and listened to him when we met him at the 2017 IAAPA show,” said Amber Collier, North America sales for Intercard, “he really connected with Scott Sherrod and me.”
Intercard will install similar systems for Balaxi Group this fall at its upcoming Glowzone locations in Chicago, Dallas and Washington, D.C. Rudraraju says the company will open an additional five Glowzone locations across the country in 2019.
