Santikos Entertainment Upgrades Arcades at Six San Antonio Theatres

Intercard recently completed a major upgrade of the arcades at six Santikos Theatres in San Antonio, Texas. The popular cinema and FEC chain chose Intercard to replace a system from another vendor.

“Santikos is expanding its theatres into family entertainment centers and needed a reliable cloud-based debit card system that could grow with their operation,” says Jason Mitchell of Intercard’s North America sales group.  “They also had quality and PCI compliance issues with their old system.”

Fady Elmallah of Intercard handled the multiple installations, which took place over a four-week period. The systems installed included more than 200 iReader Eclipse readers plus iTeller automated kiosks that interface with Santikos’ existing Vista Movie Theater POS system.

“I’m glad we made the choice to switch over. Reporting is great and the system works great,” says Dan Fonseca, gaming manager for Santikos Entertainment. “I appreciate all the time the Intercard team took planning everything out. It’s nice to get the same level of attention that I would expect from my own team.”
