Intercard Completes First of Several Massive Arcade Installations for Rapidly-Expanding Round1 Entertainment

Intercard, the world leader in debit card technology for the amusement and attraction industries, has completed an arcade installation for Round1 Bowling and Amusement’s newest location at Crystal Run Galleria Mall in Middletown, New York. It is the first of Round1’s more than 15 U.S. locations to use Intercard technology.
The FEC features a huge arcade with a massive array of the latest games including hard-to-find Japanese games available exclusively at Round1. The Intercard system controls every aspect of arcade management including card sales, redemption and service. It consists of more than 400 card readers, 4 iTeller kiosks, a redemption station with multiple iCashier terminals and two Intercard POS stations dedicated to membership sales.
After extensive due diligence, Round1 chose Intercard because its system architecture is ideal for meeting the demands of the company’s large and sophisticated arcades. “Round1 decided that Intercard would provide them with a stable, reliable, and efficient method for managing multiple complex sites and growing their business,” said Jason Mitchell, North America sales for Intercard. “We are exceedingly proud to be associated with an energetic company that is an innovator in our industry.”
Intercard will be installing similar systems at upcoming Round1 locations in Auburn Hills, Michigan; Peoria, Illinois and Greensboro, North Carolina.
